Europe

Suzanne > Swiss bakery
Suzanne > 3 hikers taking a rest as they peruse assorted maps at the top of the Santis (alp) after a long but pleasant (i hope) hike.
Suzanne > Looking down from my view point after an 8 hour trek (using just sandals (friend dared me), i suffered.. but i made it through the snow) if you look closely, you can see 3 more hikers on their way up in the snow... that shows the approximate route i took myself!
Suzanne > Switzerland is sometimes a forgotten destination... and somehow, i'm actually glad that it isn't overcrowded with tourists... at least a large part of the country's alps worth trekking aren't crawling with package tourists who ascend by cable-car! oh.. by the way, I trekked to the little rocky point smack in the centre of this picture, at the farthest end. it took 8 hours to hike up. it was a BEAUTIFUL day!

Suzanne > Hmm... if you look closely, you'll probably spot some more hikers coming up after me..! haha... that, and through those 2 montains, past the little lake and beyond what my view was, was the trail i took to reach this point of spectacular view!
Suzanne > Sunset on the way home after my trekking ventures!
Suzanne > Rearranged Nature substitutes unnatural signs/drawings along the way for hikers to help each other stay on path.

(Gosh.. that Rest house served the BEST meal i Had!!! maybe it was the altitude and exhaustion!?)
Suzanne > Taking a rest at the top of a little mountain i was crossing over. Camera's sitting on a Rock an though i tried, i'm sorry i couldn't fully frame the cool jutted rock that you see at the left of the picture.. it was like a knife piercing the sky!
Suzanne > least said: it may be lonely at the top... but who says it's not absolutely desirable to be in that situation? HAH!
Suzanne > Do Swiss cows tickle your fancy?
Suzanne > Makes me feel at peace and like there is hope in the world... but at the very same time, I feel a tinge of sadness... there isn't enough faith in the modern world.. everyone is too busy chasing shadows and not paying enough attention to believing that they already have enough... what happened to the faith in yourselves, humankind? oh yeah... photo taken in Switzerland (on a mountain about 3300m above sea level). brr..
Suzanne > Such a rude awakening to the fact that it is generally more difficult to come across thoughtfully built, artistically articulate and undistasteful architecture these days... oh... the good ol' days! (sigh) it takes my Breath aWay!
Suzanne > Piercing the sky, this cathedral in Milano, Italy spurs an eerie and over-powering feeling ... much like what we used to feel when we watched 'Adam's Family' when we were young. A sense of fear and surrender. Yield! Or I shan't spare thy Life!
Suzanne > Therein lies the famous Black Virgin Mary statue, "Moreneta", and daily sings the famous boys' choir of Spain's Montserrat Cathedral, which sits majestically on queerly formed stones atop the hill of Montserrat, Spain (1800m). Breath taking views of the cities and hills around this mont and even more spectacular sights of these age old buildings amidst the queer rock formations!
